This grant is prestigious, and provides a total of 1.5 Million US Dollars in 5 year period. Previously, this grant was called the National Research Laboratory(In Korean: 舊, 국가지정연구실). Project Goal : To develop MCDR, a sub-Nyquist sampling system, from an analog sampling hardware to digital algorithm

Explanation : Sampling wideband radar signals at the Nyquist rates is inefficient in the perspective of costs for implementing the hardware devices. This project aims to develop a sub-Nyquist sampling system named the Multi-channel digital receiver (MCDR) that samples the radar signals, whose spectrum is sparsely spreading across a wideband, at an even lower sampling rate than the Nyquist rate.
